Just a site for some crazy little things, but we do like.
It cost me two weeks to rearrange the words for haute Couture wrap up. I might because I was sad not to see Givenchy’s presentation this season. It was great so far. However, I didn’t have an act of “hold my breath” as previous season. Overall, they were all refined and exquisite. Mostly, they got inspiration from floral, floral and floral, a delicate symbolic of Spring and Summer. Some created the whole scene to embrace the sweetness of lace and sequin. It was a good week but not that great.
Dior Haute Couture S/S 2013
Chanel Haute Couture S/S 2013
Dior started firstly to stun all the clad with its new form and structure at Jardin des Tuileries. Personally, I felt less excitement compare to previous Haute Couture collection. However, the structure was perfectly delivered. I really like the knee-length peplum long gown which was absolute stunning. Chanel was presented in a giant park or maybe forest with feather make up look a like birds. The collection was exquisite as alway with a little touch of flower in sequin embroided details. Of course, we couldn’t resist to tweet a major buzz of gay-wedding couple there. What a major liberation!
Giambattista Valli Haute Couture S/S 2013
Elie Saab Haute Couture S/S 2013
Ulyana Sergeenko Haute Couture S/S 2013
Giambattista Valli brought youthful personality to Haute Couture. However, critics said that the silhouette and structure were not achieved to the calibre but I still like it. Elie Saab’s collection was really delicate and aristocrat, I felt a little Valentino in previous season. I also like Ulyana Sergeenko’s collection which she shift her game out of Russian. The looks were pristine and lively but still full of her singature, I wish we could see more of her. Lastly, Valentino top the game with its collection that state the brilliant vision of 2 designers who emerge out of Mr. Valentino’s shadow to the limelight. The confidence appeared all over the collection with refined tailoring and techniques that were magnificent. While the others designer looked to Maison Valentino. Valentino just geared up to the edge of pace, Bravo!
